I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist based in Santa Monica, CA. I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, or simply the sense that something isn't working. I attend to the whole person— emotional, biological, and spiritual. When medication makes sense, it's integrated thoughtfully into the work.
My approach is depth-oriented. I bring authenticity, warmth, and curiosity into every session. I believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship isn't just the backdrop for healing, it's where the healing actually happens.

Therapy is more than symptom relief. It's an opportunity to understand yourself at a deeper level: your patterns, your relationships, the places where you feel stuck or disconnected from yourself. Most of the patterns that hold us back made sense at some point— wise adaptations that simply became less useful over time. The goal isn't to fix what's broken but to understand it, and in doing so, reconnect with a fuller version of yourself.
I bring warmth and genuine presence into every session, creating a space where you can explore freely and without judgment. Something shifts not just through insight, but through the experience of being truly seen, and having that experience in real time, with another person.
My work is informed by AEDP, psychodynamic, and experiential approaches.

When medication is part of the picture, we approach it collaboratively. You are the expert on your own experience; my role is to bring clinical knowledge to that conversation to help you make the right decision for yourself.
I think of symptoms as signposts, information about what needs attention. The goal with medication isn't to erase them, but to turn down the volume when the signals are too loud, so that the deeper work can happen. Medication is one tool among many, always considered alongside the broader context of your life and your care.
"Sometimes the break in your heart is like the hole in the flute. Sometimes it's the place where the music comes through."
